I loved the crispy but delicate fried trout, but in my review I opined that the black eyed peas accompanying the fish were thematical (Southern) but underwhelming. The Inquirer's restaurant critic Craig LaBan wrote more positively about their placement in his May 20th review:
"Those black eyed peas, studded with nuggets of bacon and ribboned with frilly green kale, were a far better match for the delicacy of two crisply fried fillets of fresh trout"
