Genji Restaurant - Sashimi and California Roll Platter

Genji Restaurant - Sashimi and California Roll Platter

Sansom St. between 17th and 18th

Ever heard of synesthesia ? This might be it. How could something so colorful not taste good. As you may know from a trip to your local Acme market, bright colors does not equal freshness, but at Genji, it guarantees it.

This little platter was 14, not bad for sushi, but not great for a lunch that would leave many looking for seconds. My favorite was probably the salmon, and the salmon roe. The raw cut was oh so moist, and the eggs' little salty pops were oh-so-delightful. All the other pieces of sashimi (a white fish, a yellow-tail, and tuna) were good as well. The california roll was typical therefore boring.
