Pictured here is the lesser known pride-of-Philly sandwich, the roast pork. If you ask a native where to get one of these juicy, never greasy, 'wiches you'll probably get pointed in the direction of Tony Luke's.

But hold on! Instead of traveling to the fringes of the city, I implore you to give DiNic's in Reading Terminal a try. Although I enjoyed Tony Luke's version, especially its tender cuts of pork and crisp roll, I found DiNic's to be superior overall.

The provolone cheese, pungent garlicky greens (broccoli "rob" or spinach), and the hearty bun create an unbeatable bed of juicy flavor for the sandwich's main attraction: thin cut slow roasted pork. Fantastic!
